HISTORY OF PROJECT JJ
2006
Early one winter's morning, three medical students (below) were praying when suddenly a thought occurred. If they were fully clothed yet still felt a penetrating chill, imagine how miserable the unfortunate felt without any wear to cover them. Residing at the University they used this opportunity to take up a collection of clothes and donate them. This informal group began to collect and distribute clothes for the next two years, while inspiring and doing small projects.
2009
As the concept of an outreach group grew, four students (below) who were very passionate about uplifting the community, decided to develop and extend the scope of Project JJ's work. They believed that even as students, they could make a significance difference. This team transformed Project JJ into an official university society, enabling them to accept public funds (as they are audited). They created a more structured organization that would be sustainable, and aimed to satisfied all needs of a home.
2012
The society has been successfully running over the past few years and the current team are very passionate about making a change.
